USNZ works closely with Australian University Sport (AUS) allowing teams and individuals from NZ universities to compete in selected AUS events each year including the three different Regional Australian University Games, Regional University Championships and other trans tasman events. These teams are a mixture of representative sides (NZ Universities) or single University teams. For 2012, New Zealand Universities will not be permitted to enter the Australian University Games due to limited space and a new qualification policy.
