About the Board

The University Sport New Zealand (USNZ) Board comprises of up to 8 members.

4 elected members (President, Vice President and two Board members) and 2 Representative Members are all elected by the USNZ members at its Annual General Meeting. Each Board Member serves a two-year term on the Board after which they can choose to submit a nomination to be re-elected again.

The USNZ Board can also seccond members onto the Board, who also serve a two year term. The secconded members are appointed by the USNZ Board for their valuable skills and business connections within the organisations framework.

The Board meets at least 4 times a year.

As President, Ian is responsible for chairing Board meetings and providing general leadership to the governance of University Sport New Zealand. Ian has been involved with USNZ for several years as a Health Team member for the International Programme.
