Volunteers

The Uni Games need your help!

Become an integral part of the Uni Games personnel. Volunteers are the life blood of the Uni Games and essential to the successful organisation and implementation of the event. The Uni Games Volunteer Programme is designed to ensure that the necessary volunteers are recruited, inducted to the Uni Games organisation, trained to fulfill their roles effectively and gain appropriate feedback and recognition for their contribution. It is our aim to create a positive, rewarding and enjoyable experience for all volunteers involved.

There are two main types of Volunteers utilised at the Uni Games. These are either Key or General Volunteers. General Volunteer positions exist for people only wishing to work the week of the Uni Games, where as Key positions are for people interested in longer-term roles.

Key Volunteers

Depending on the particular role, Key Volunteers will be required to assist us for one day a week from March until the Uni Games in April. The following key volunteer positions are available please click on the link for a full position description.

Volunteer Assistants - corodinates the volunteer management plan assisting with recuitment, training, management and retention of all Uni Games Volunteers

Special Events Assistants x 2 - Assists with the organisation of the Uni Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, VIP Functions and Medal Ceremonies

Media Assistants x 2 - Assists with the planning and management of the media programme of the Uni Games

Administration Assistants x 2 - Assist with the registration, accreditation processes and the HQ administration of the Uni Games

Website Assistant - Assists with the management of the Uni Games Webpages

Sport Assistants x 2 - Assists with the planning and management of the Uni Games Sport programme

Logistics Assistants x 2 - Assists with Uni Games logistical aspects including equipment, catering, communications and signage

Competition Assistants x 28 - Assists with the management of a specific sport competition

General Volunteers

Depending on the particular role, General Volunteers will work on a specific area of the Uni Games during event time only. General volunteers who are keen to offer more of their time can always be utilised in the lead up to the Uni Games. The following general volunteer positions are available. Special Events Volunteers - work on the Uni Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, VIP Functions and Medal Ceremonies

Social Programme Volunteers - work on the Uni Games Social Programme

Journalists - write stories and media releases to be used on the Uni Games Website and publications

Photographers - take photos to be used on the Uni Games Website and publications

Accreditation Volunteers - work on the Uni Games Accreditation

Sport Volunteers - work on specific sport competitions

Logistics Volunteers - work on the Uni Games logistical aspects including equipment, catering, communications and signage
