International Events

USNZ organises, selects and administers New Zealand teams to attend a variety of international sporting competitions including:

a)  World University Champs - 28 individual sports events held every 2 years and being staged all over the world in 2006;
b)  World University Games - takes place every 2 years, next in Bangkok, Thailand in August 2007;
c)  World University Winter Games  - also every 2 years, next in Torino, Italy in January 2007;
d)  Trans-Tasman competitions - take place in certain sports either every year (Rowing) or every 2 years (Hockey).

 

FISU

USNZ is the New Zealand member of FISU - the International University Sports Federation. FISU organises the World University Games (summer & winter) and World University Championships. Click here for further information on FISU.
