USNZ organises, selects and administers New Zealand teams to attend a variety of international sporting competitions including:

a)  World University Champs - 29 individual sports events held every 2 years and being staged all over the world in 2012;
b)  World University Games - takes place every 2 years, next in Shenzhen, China in August 2011;
c)  World University Winter Games  - also every 2 years, next in Erzurum, Turkey in January 2011;
