USNZ has sanctioned the entry of several New Zealand teams to 2008 World University Championship events. See below for information on each team:

Beach Volleyball - Hamburg, Germany (1-6 July)

2 women’s pairs represented NZ in Hamburg - NZ’s number 1 pair, Anna Scarlett/Susan Blundell, and fellow beach volleyballers, Hayley Griffiths/Shannen Bagge.

Ruth Croft came 40th of the 62 world class athletes.

Karate NZ sent 5 athletes to compete at the World Uni Karate Champs, Kylie Rochford brought home the bronze for her catergory.

The 2008 World Uni Match Racing Champs saw 2 NZ crews compete against each other in the finals, taking home gold and silver medals.
