USNZ BOARD MEMBER VACANCY (Vice President)
The University Sport New Zealand (USNZ) is calling for nominations for the vacant board position of Vice President.
This is an elected position and voting will take place at the Annual General Meeting in Wellington on Saturday 24 July, 2010.
To be successful in this role University Sport New Zealand seeks nominations from the tertiary, sport and business industries to fill these vacancies. It is desirable that nominees for these roles have demonstrated skills, experience and networks in one or more of the following areas;
-Financial management (not for profits)
-Sponsorship and fundraising
-Commercial partnerships
-Event and project management
-Sports development and pathways and the
-New Zealand tertiary environment
Please note that as per the University Sport New Zealand Constitution, nominees for any elected Board position must be endorsed by a Constituent Member.
For those persons who are not from within the University Sports sector it is suggested that you contact Ian Murphy, USNZ President on 021 396 540 to discuss your nomination and endorsement.

Nominations must be sent to the Returning Officer on the official nomination form no later than 5pm Friday 9 July 2010.

New Zealand Universities Blues Tickets Sales
The 91st New Zealand Universities Blues Awards are being held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Wellington on Friday, 25th June 2010. This premier awards evening brings together student athletes and administrators from throughout the country to celebrate their sporting achievements from the 2009 academic year.
A total of 58 talented student athletes from New Zealand’s universities have been selected as recipients of the prestigious Blues Award for the 2009 academic year. Included this year are four Outstanding Achievements awards, and one Distinguished Performance and an Administrators award.
The awards evening provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate achievements in University sport with members of your organisation and it’s a great way to entertain clients.
Purchasing Tickets
General tickets are priced at $95.00 (incl gst) or $900.00 (incl gst) for a table of 10.
Tickets for the evening are now available for purchase by completing the form attached and submitting online, sending by fax or post. Payment is by cheque, cash or bank transfer.
We look forward to celebrating this evening of sporting success with you.
