NTC 2008

The NTC will be held at Waitakere Stadium, Auckland. The aim of the Tertiary Challenge is a fun, social, mixed one-day sporting event, with maximum participation from all the tertiary institutions in the Northern Region (north of Taupo).

Sports Offered:

  • Basketball (5-aside)- team sport - min 6 competitors
  • Netball- team sport- min 7 competitors
  • Soccer (7-aside)- team sport- min 7 competitors
  • Touch- team sport- min 6 competitors
  • Ultimate- team sport- min 5 competitors
  • Volleyball- team sport- min 6 competitors

Please note:
- Team sports are held simultaneously, hence competitors can only play one team sport.
- All teams are mixed competition. See individual sport rules for team requirements.
- There is a limit of one team per institute per sport.

Sport Rules - 2008 NTC Rules

Team Manager:

The Team Manager will be in charge of organising the team’s logistics (transportation, uniforms etc) as well as being the main contact person for your overall delegation. It would be highly recommended that this person also attends the NTC and is the person who forwards us registration information and entry fees.

Entry Fee:

Participants from all Tertiary Institutes - $20/person (inc GST)

The entry fee will include the following:
- Sport
- Lunch
- A day of fun!

Institutions will be invoiced by USNZ.

Registration Information:

- Registration closes 5 pm Wednesday 30th July.

- For students wishing to partipate in the NTC, please contact your Team Manager on Campus. A list of Team Managers will be available soon on this page.

Eligibility Criteria:

All students and faculty members of the Tertiary institutions will be eligible to participate at the Central Tertiary Challenge 2008.

The Northern Tertiary Challenge is organised by USNZ and is supported by Dominos Pizza.
