Canterbury wins Southern Tertiary Challenge

About 170 participants from 6 southern region tertiary institutions converged in University of Canterbury grounds last Friday for a day of sporting fun. Despite forecasts of possible snow and rain, the sun shone thoughout most of the day and the clouds held their rain till later in the evening. Soccer, volleyball and basketball were held in the morning and after hearty BBQ lunch, the day continued with touch, ultimate and netball. Indoor rowing was held throughout the day for all participants to give it a go. The day ended with snacks at Bentley’s Bar, announcement of sport placings and being entertained by Christchurch covers band XLR8.

3rd New Zealand Institute of Sport
