Cross Country Sking - Updated

Saturday, July 1st, 2006

Due to popular demand we have reviewed the format for the Cross Country Skiing event (Yes, we got it wrong).

In their continued support of the Event and to ensure it kicks off well in its first year, Snow Farm have offered even better rates to the competitors of this event. Please see new format below.

Date: Tuesday 29th August, afternoon (no other Uni Snow Games events are on at this time)

Venue: Snow Farm (for more information check out www.snowfarmnz.com)

Format: Women – 5km Race

Men – 10km Race

Freestyle

Event Fee: As this is the inaugural event USNZ are keen to see it succeed and are waiving the event fee for this year’s Cross Country.

Registration Fee: Competitors will still need to pay the Uni Snow Games registration fee to enter the Cross Country.

Competitors from AUT, Canterbury, Lincoln, Massey Albany, Massey Palmerston North, Massey Wellington, Otago, Victoria and Waikato will be charged a registration fee of $50 ($44.44 plus $5.56 GST) per competitor to compete in the Games.

Competitors from Auckland University will be charged a registration fee of $75.00 ($66.67 plus $8.33 GST) per competitor to compete in the Games.

Equipment Hire & Trail Fee: Snow Farm have a fabulous all inclusive offer of only $30 for all equipment and trail fees (pay this at the Farm on the day), if you have your own equipment it’s only $15 for trial fees.

Even more Special Deal: Snow Farm have offered anybody who can prove entry into the Cross Country a day at the Farm prior to the Race for no extra charge, turn up anytime from now and the race pay your $30.00 (you won’t be charged again on the day of the race) and they will sort you out with everything you need including a free lesson!

So for people who are doing other events at the Uni Snow Games for as little as $30 they can get out and experience this new event in the Games, Cross Country Skiing, and they may even win points for their team.
