Massey Albany’s Phil Dominick finished 9th in yesterday’s Boarder Cross. Phil Dominick, a member of the NZ national snowboarding team and a Massey Albany extra mural student, recorded New Zealand’s best finish of the 23rd World University Winter Games when he finished 9th in yesterday’s Boarder Cross competition.
The event was held in Bardonecchia in the Italian Alps and was won by Frenchman Leo Trespeuch. NZ’s Joel Nichol (Canterbury University) finished 46th of the 64 competitors.
The highest NZ finish in the women’s Boarder Cross came from Otago University’s Claire Nash who finished 17th of the 30 competitors. Sera Price (Otago) and Jenna Brown (Canterbury) finished 22nd and 26th respectively.
