NZ wins trans-Tasman Rowing

NZ Universities have regained the annual trans-Tasman rowing title winning 9-3 in the 3 test series held 3-7 July in Sydney. The NZU Rowing team have beaten their Australian counterparts (comprised of teams from Sydney University and the Australian National University) in the 2006 event. The competition consists of a 3 test series with 4 races in each test. 3 NZU crews (women’s lightweight quad, women’s eight and men’s eight) won their races in each test while the only defeats were suffered by the men’s lightweight four.
