NZU Blues Recipients For 2008 Are Announced

After 110 students from around New Zealand were nominated for a prestigious NZU Blue, 39 have been awarded for outstanding sporting performances during the 2008 academic year. The panel has also awarded one Distinguished Performance Award, Four Outstanding Achievement Awards and an NZU Coaching Award. Many of the recipients competed at the absolute pinnacle of their sport in 2008, representing New Zealand at the Beijing Olympics. Congratulations to all 2008 NZU Award Recipients and good luck to the finalists nominated in the Supreme Award categories!

This year’s awards will be presented at a black tie dinner on Friday 5th June at Te Papa, Wellington. Pre-dinner drinks from 6pm with dinner and the Award Ceremony to commence at 6:30pm. Dress is formal- men, suit and tie; women, cocktail or evening dress.
