The duo beat Massey Albany in the playoff for bronze yesterday after earlier falling to eventual winners Otago in their semi-final.

Otago defeated a Massey Palmerson North line-up in the final.

Collins, 18, said it was unfortunate that the Witt pair faced Otago in the semi.

“It was a pity we met them because both of us had gone through (pool play) undefeated.”

In a close match against Otago, Witt lost in two sets by two shots in each.

Collins, a computing student, said the Uni Games experience had been great.

“It’s been fantastic, so much fun. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere has been great,” said the Oakura local.
