World Uni Beach Team Announced

USNZ has announced the NZ team that will compete at this year’s World University Beach Volleyball Champs in Cyprus. The 3rd World University Beach Volleyball Championships will take place on 14-18 June and 1 men’s team and 2 women’s teams will represent NZ. New national champions Susan Blundell (Victoria) and Rebecca Reidy (Massey PN) are joined by 2 other Victoria students - Silas Avery and Emma Preston, as well as Waikato University’s Paul Bowman and Melissa Ruru (the latter a provisional selection pending confirmation of eligibility). Warren Smith, national beach volleyball coach and a lecturer at Massey PN will coach the team during the Championships and at a pre-event camp in Germany. Click here for the full announcement.
